spca5xx broken in ubuntu 5.10?

To fix that problem you have to download the driver, then do this as
superuser:
cc=gcc-3.4
CC=gcc-3.4
export cc
export CC
and then make, make install. Your driver will be at your kernel modules:
/lib/modules/uname -a/kernel/drivers/usb/media/
There you will see: spca5xx.ko and a folder with the name spca5xx. In
the folder you have the bad driver, replace it whith the new one, and
reboot. If you dont want to reboot your machine: rmmod spca5xx and
modprobe spca5xx.
