VNCServer inetd - user nobody.tty

Hi all -

I'm familiar with launching vncserver sessions from inetd in Debian Sarge, but
I'm having problems on Ubuntu. Ibstalled vncserver and inetutils-inetd, added
entries into /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf and modified /etc/gdm.conf

I'm unable to connect to my vnc-sessions either from the Ubuntu machine or a
remote machine.

Has anyone got this working on Ubuntu ot got any advice for me?
