It is, since it can help users accomplish the same results, invariably.

On the contrary, you could pick your OS first, and then buy the
hardware that you can use with it - like windows and mac users do.
With linux, the software is free - so no pressure on that front. with
both linux and windows you pay for hardware, so no difference, really,
whether you use linux or windows.

So is windows, and for some reasons, which are amply clear, Linux is a
better lifestyle choice for people with curiosity and the urge to
learn.
