Raid 1 problem

After reading the related debian bug report a bit more thoroughly, it
seems that it happens with 1-array setups too. I've 'solved' it by
adding the sleep 3s in the initscript.

The hardware raid controller they're on has no drivers in the default
kernel (Intel ICH5), but with this workaround software raid works.
