I've got an R51 as well, a 1836-BDU, and I have no problem with internet
connectivity of the wired sort. Wireless is sometimes picky when I
suspend the laptop (I'm guessing the card isn't waking up) but aside
from that is fine.

Are you having problems with the onboard ethernet or wifi issues?

(A small aside, nice to see a NY'er on the list, I live out on the
island)
