my dv video editing workflow on Ubuntu
capture : kino
edit : kino
export audio : kino
audio edit : audacity
import audio : kino (FX DUB)
export DVD : kino
DVD menu/iso : dvdstyler (dvdauthor)
DVD burning : nautilus
kino works like a charm
(no crash so far for me, actually kino perfectly fits my editing needs
(~250 scenes, 5 gigabyte avis, i like the editing via the hotkeys, most
of the time i use only i=in o=out ctrl+j=cut)
One point I would like to improve:
after the rendering of the imported audio there are some minor
crackling sound artifacts, (the edited audio is clean)
