I'm running Hoary 64bit on AMD64 and was able to compile Cinelerra and
all its dependecies with only a few hours hacking.



The result is that it crashes constantly and is not usable on my
platform. For that matter, Kino is also very unstable and not really
useful, except for capture.



Another video editing application that might interest you is avidemux:
