Verizon DSL and Ubuntu?

Or maybe you will be lucky and they will use a bridged connection with a
static IP, like I have with Qwest and my ISP.  I just configured using
the IP and DNS settings they gave me and it worked.  I use it with a
Netgear router which has web based setup.
