Thanks for telling me, I will google for it :o)
Given that GRUB is old and mature and that it works fine as is, making a
GRUB "2" probably implies that at least one new big feature has been
added/implemented.... so why not UI customization...who knows ! :o)))

Please tell me how you installed the second Hoary next to the first
one... what is one supposed to do ? I assume you re-use the /home
partition of the first Hoary. but what about the more trick
stuff.... / ... /boot....  /usr ...  tell me...
