......and new to Ubuntu, Debian, etc. I've been using Linux for about 5
years as my principle OS. I administer a small home network of whatever
flavor(s) of linux seem to interest me at the moment. Usually SUSE,
Fedora.

After reading about Ubuntu for a while I've decided to give it a go.
I've got myself mostly set up now, and thought I would say hello. I've
never used Debian before, so I'm learning a few things. I've got to say
I was very impressed by the hardware detection. It's definitely more
work to get an Ubuntu system up to a useable level, but I think once I
get it there it will be very nice.

Are there any little quirks or gotchas that other people have noticed
about Ubuntu/Debian that I should be aware of?
