Hi folks!

There's a lightweight Ubuntu variant: BeatrIX --- pleaase see:
http://www.watsky.net/

My old laptop (Compaq Armada 7400; Pentium II-300Mhz with 128 MB RAM
and 6 GB Harddrive) works better with BeatrIX 2005.1F (Rel. Jan. 29,
2005).

This laptop was previously running on custom Ubuntu with iceWM; I've
installed it via the "Ubuntu/Debian-Sarge Mini-RAM HOWTO" by Ingo
LANTSCHNER (Thanks Ingo!!!).

BeatrIX runs faster than my previous installation (Ubuntu 4.10
custom-installed with iceWM) for a gnome-based distro (which is,
SURPRISE! SURPRISE! -----derived from Ubuntu).

Test drive a BeatrIX live CD, and see what I meant!
