I installed Hoary RC yesterday, and my sound is not working. I have a
NVIDIA nforce onboard soundcard, and I seem to remember it working with
an earlier version of the Hoary livecd. I checked the volume control
and it looks to me like nothing's muted, so I should hear something.
Any ideas?

Also:
When I open the Multimedia Systems Selector app under the
System/Preferences menu, I select ALSA or OSS as Output device, and when
I click on Test I get something like the following error message:
"Failed to construct test pipeline for 'ALSA - Advanced Linux Sound
Architecture'"
When I select ESD as Output, the test button works, but I hear nothing.
Any ideas?
