NVIDIA nforce sound not working

Ok, finally fixed it (by chance). I opened the volume control and turned
off "IEC958 Capture Monitor", under the "Switches" tab. It wasn't there
by default, I had to select it by clicking on the "Edit/Preferences"
menu.
