[Hoary] Recover deleted files from harddisk

Thank you very much for your answer Hervé. I just read, that I should
NOT reboot the computer, since the deleted data are probably still in
/dev/mem or /dev/hda4 (my home-partition) and could be lost forever if I
reboot...

Anybody knows if that is true?
