Definitely. :o)

The KDE/Gnome thing is always a tough choice for me. I prefer how KDE
behaves, but prefer how Gnome looks. You then have to decide which
project you want to terrify with your new graphics. :o) So far I'm
sticking with the original Ubuntu, but I'm sure Kubuntu will find it's
way on to one of my machines eventually.

I agree.... and from the poking around I've done, the color changing
doesn't seem very hard - there's just no fancy GUI to make the
changes. If I can get things working right in my own (non-programmer)
brain, I'll try to document the steps to tweaking system colors.

Vitality - no, I don't think so. The overall feel of the group seems
to have changed since the early days though (and not necessarily in a
bad way). I think we all had that "new toy" feeling at first, and now
that we've (or I've) been using for "regular work", the new toy
excitement has worn off a little bit. In it's place though, it's left
a feeling of pride and confidence in our project and I think that's a
much better state of mind. Toys wear out - communities grow. :o)
