I can't fix your clock, but I can suggest an easier way to reset the
time -- Type this iin a terminal window:

    sudo /etc/init.d/ntpdate restart

This will re-synchronize your clock with the default pool of ntp
(network time protocol) servers.

If you like, you can put this in your crontab and have it run one or
more times a day.
