kde problems in hoary after upgrade

Sorry, I phrased that somewhat imprecisely. I was specifically
referring to mythfrontend. I think (correct me if i'm wrong)
mythfrontend uses qt which (again correct me if I'm wrong) is the gui
api/framework used by KDE and KDE apps.

Seeing that you're the maintainer for the mythtv debian/ubuntu
packages, I'll gladly defer to you for the specifics on these matters.
:-).

Anyway, situation remains the same. Since dist-upgrade last night,
the system freezes when I log into KDE. And from other environments
such as fluxbox, the same thing happens when I start up a kde app.
Also the same thing happens when i start the myth frontend from
fluxbox. Would I be mistaken to say that these three things have qt
in common? If so perhaps something installed by apt last night broke
or conflicts with one of the qt libraries? Not sure if there was a qt
upgrade last night, or not. If anyone is experiencing this problem
and knows a fix I would be grateful. Barring that, I'll cross my
fingers and hope that another dist-upgrade resolves the issue.

Relatedly, is there a way to use apt to revert back to a known good
state, say from a specific date? I know it keeps logs of what
packages were installed when. If you do apt-get dist-upgrade, and
bork something up, but don't know which package(s) broke the system,
It would be great to say "hey, apt, back out all the changes you made
yesterday" or something. Not sure if previous versions of packages are
maintained in the repositories or in the cache, but it seems possible.

Anyway, thanks
Zach
