The quickest way:
sudo sed -e 's/warty/hoary/' -i /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt-get
update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

But be careful of you have nvidia or ati drivers. Look at the
HoaryUpgradeNotes wikipage for more.

Having said that: I was bitten by an acpi bug on warty which violently
interrupted the updgrade process (i had to reboot 3 times due to kacpid
taking 100% cpu time) and still everything upgraded smoothly. I was
truly amazed :)
