We don't need another distro for the average Linux user, all that does 
is take market share from the others.

What we do need is a distro that the new user can use without a lot of 
grief and that will satisfy "average linux users" and beyond.

That way, we can expand the market. There are lots more people not using 
Linux than are using Linux; 10% of them switching to Ubuntu would make 
Ubuntu the biggest distro by users.
