modem port on laptop

Thanks for the confirmation and tip. Thy e thing is... I have no serial 
port on my X20 either ! lol  It should be, I guess, on the docking 
station... that I haven't got (and don't plan to acquire).

Sorry, I don't mean to play a "Yes, but..." game ! ;-) I suppose I could 
  envisage a USB modem... Do you all think that would do the job, or are 
there complications ahead that I am missing ?
