modprobe ndiswrapper problems after fresh install!?!

I think what is going on here is that the ubuntu kernel image comes with a ndiswrapper modules preinstalled. ( I'm pretty sure ) and by compiling ndiswrapper and installing it your overwriting some of these file and the version are not matching

anyhow this is what I did to fix that issue

delete the module that it can't insert
> (/lib/modules/2.6.8.1-3-686/kernel/drivers/net/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.ko)

then try to modprobe again
--
if it doesn't work re-install ndiswrapper again - make install or debs whatever you used
