Hello all,
I have a Toshiba Tecra 8200, the network card is an Intel EtherExpress PRO/100.
I can connect to my network just fine, but my network connection is SLOW.... I
am trying to transfer files over my home network, connected with Ethernet, and
my transfer speeds are well below 100K/second (rough measurement via file size
transferred). The network monitor applet shows occasional lines, and that is
all. My other machines and this machine before Ubuntu would transfer data much
quicker. lsmod | grep 100 shows that the eepro100 and the e100 modules are
loaded. there is also a line that says
mii 4864 2 eepro100,e100
but I don't know what that means.
I've googled and searched the mailing lists, but could not find an answer. I'd
appreciate any help. The 2.2 gigs of .ogg files I just ripped and am
transferring to my server are going to run for quite a wile. :)
Thanks!
-Frank
