Appliance Theme (was: Re: Default Theme)

 Well, the fact is, that's what a lot of people want. They want it for their
kids' desktops, or for the PCs in the computer lab at school school, or for
the university, or for their machine in their office or NOC, or for the
church group, etc. 

Linux is all about choice, so certainly that would be a valid choice.  To be
honest, ALL of these choices are valid, but they should be offered as
choices.  Honestly, the standard theme should probably be pretty simple and
basic, something that will appeal to as many as possible and annoy as few as
possible, in order to get the hook and draw people in without driving anyone
away with an initial impression.  But leave a well-documented option to
install all of the jucier themes if wanted (maybe a pop-up dialog on first
startup with a button that says "Click here to download some of Ubuntu's
advanced themes")

I propose an "Appliance Theme" or "Whitegoods Theme".

Clearly there is a need presented on this list for a theme that doesn't
present the computer as a warm friendly device, but instead as a toaster
with email and web browsing.

This theme would have a plain background, with subtle ubuntu branding, to
complement ones kitchen or living room post Queer Eye.
