Default Theme

I'm not a fan of it either. Part of it is the partial nudity, which I
have absolutely no philosophical problem with, but I don't like the
idea of the default theme being something that I'd have a problem
putting in a public library or professional environment. The close
proximity makes it worse; while it maybe *intended* as 'humans caring
for each other,' a lot of people will just see 'naked folks in close
proximity,' and interpret that as sexual activity they disapprove of.
I've got no objection to it being available as a "Human" theme, but I
really don't like it as a *default* that just anyone will run into. I
ordered CDs through ShipIt so I could hand them out to folks and say
"Check out this great OS," including people who might hopefully want
to use it for professional purposes, and I'd rather they not install
it and instantly see seminaked people. It creates a bad first
impression.
I prefer my themes more abstract - I really liked the original one,
with subdued and earthy colors. I've never seen brown actually work
before, but I thought it worked very well. On a purely aesthetic
level, I find it far too busy; especially in the case of the GDM login
screen.
Count me in strong opposition to this new theme.
