harmless(?) hotplug errors on boot

As for what hotplug is, it's a nice way to load needed system modules at
boot.  Before hotplug you had to put module names into a file to get the
needed modules loaded at boottime.  Now, hotplug scans your hardware and
determines which modules need to be loaded automagically.  This is
really nice for stock kernels shipped with most distros since they
build almost everything as modules and only what you need is loaded. 
Handling USB devices is a big part too (I don't know much about that
however).
