Switching Window Managers

Ubuntu is gnome-centric so you may experience some problems if you
switch from gdm to say kdm. If you really must then first "sudo apt-get
install kdm" (from Ubuntu Universe) and after installation you should
get a screen appear asking you which window manager you want to use.
To change window managers at a later date then "sudo dpkg-reconfigure
gdm" or "kdm".

Sorry, can't help you on the other "windoze" tile thing. You probably
can but I've never had the need so I don't know!!

Cheers,

Martin
