This much I have heard, but as far as I know, no one has traced the cause.
I have never had any such problem. I use an Ubuntu system running bind9 as
my nameserver; before that, the same system ran Debian and bind9.
If someone who can reproduce this problem would run:
strace -o /tmp/ipv6-resolv.text host www.ubuntu.com
(or whatever hostname can trigger the problem) and send a copy of the
resulting /tmp/ipv6-resolv.text, that might shed some light on the
situation.
