I believe a newbie/windows migrant FAQ or guide should be written from
scratch, to keep focus on a newbies needs. So I do not think adding
information to existing Wikipages helps, on the contrary it would demand
to leave information from existing Wikipages out.
The Wikipages are, of course, an online document, consisting of many,
rather small, linked articles. Is there an easy way to print a whole
section or subsection, not just a single article? Keep in mind, that at
least two major paper sizes are out there (US letter, A4). A single pdf
file might have the advantage here. But easy printing is, in my opinion,
essential. During the installation a User does not have access to
Computer stored Information. Even later, if something breaks (X-Server),
he could access his papers.
I also feel, the wiki does not look very flashy. When dealing with
users, who don't really understand what they have to do, a better look
and feel might be helpful to make them feel welcome and support their
learning Linux experience. All Wikipages I found were left aligned, can
you use justified Alignment?
Having one single, central place, where you can find all available help
is a VERY strong point for the wiki.
cu,
meinhard
