missing /dev/radio

Hi Michel.
I can confirm this. I own a Hauppauge PCI/FM tv/audio card and I get
exactly the same error-message you described for the applications
"radio" and the "xmms fm-plugin". The application "gradio" however
worked fine for me without changing anything (I just installed it with
"sudo apt-get install gradio").
