missing /dev/radio

I just installed a BT878-based tv/radio card. Device Manager sees it
allright, both the video and the audio part.

I've downloaded three different fm players (radio, xmmms-fm plugin and
gradio) but all insist that there should be a /dev/radio or /dev/radio0
device. And there isn't. So, how do I make one?
