two modules prism2_usb (kernel vs. linux-wlan-ng)??

My IBM Laptop auto detected the wlan card in it, but gave it the wrong
"hermes" drivers, so I had to replace them with the wlan-ng drivers
and it works perfectly..
I still have problems telling the system to forget about the hermes
drivers and I have to manually reload the wlan-ng drivers, but thats
due to my limited understanding..
