two modules prism2_usb (kernel vs. linux-wlan-ng)??

Hello

Everywhere one can read one have to install the package 'linux-wlan-ng'
in order to get the module 'prism2_usb' (provided you have an
wireless-usb-adapter like D-Link DWL-122) and the package
'wireless-tools'.

When I connect my D-Link DWL-122, hotplug loads a module 'prism2_usb',
but I haven't installed the package 'linux-wlan-ng'. Is this module
already included into the powerpc kernel '2.6.8.1-4-powerpc'? What
happens if I install the package 'linux-wlan-ng'? Does this introduce
conflicts between the two prism2_usb modules?

Thank's in advance for any help!

kind regards, Roland
