firefox config dirs (was: No sound ... )

I think the .phoenix is unused. If I remember right one of the first 
firefox releases used .phoenix to create the new .firefox configuration. 
Then .phoenix was unused. It should be possible to simple delete it.
You can first rename the directory and see what happens.
The .mozilla/firefox is used here for profile management configuration. 
It seems to be in .mozilla because of the mozilla base code in firefox.
