Funny, I realise now I had exactly the same problem, I just didn't see
the webcam as an audio device, but of course it is.
My blacklisting worked fine though:
/etc/hotplug/blacklist.d/local contains the line
snd_usb_audio
I also made the file executable (since the file that already existed in
that dir was), don't know if that has any effect though :-)
