Boot Disk / Booting without GRUB

you may be able to do it, though i have never tried.
If you insert the install disk and when the boot prompt comes up i
thin its something along the line of:
boot /dev/hdX/path/to/kernel

I did say think and im not guaranteeing that it will work but its just
a suggestion
