Ubuntu or Kernel problem.

Some KVM switches don't get along with some distributions of Linux. My 
KVM used to send random tildes "~"
That's not good when you're editing important files ;)

I haven't tried it with Ubuntu. Since it's powered off ps2, I just have 
the cable from the mouse port going to the KVM, and I use the mouse as 
usb, keyboard goes straight in. But then, I only needed it for the 
monitor because my other computer is a mac, which uses USB keyboard and 
mouse, and the USB KVM switch was twice the price ;)
