Howdy all,
First off, thanks to all the enthusiastic people that have volunteered
to help out at the Ubuntu booth at Texas Linux Fest (TLF). Everyone
attending, be sure to bring your GPG fingerprints to exchange!
A few people had a nice discussion over lunch time today on IRC,
mostly about TLF, but of course a few other topics were batted about.
You can find the IRC log and a list of proposals for further
discussion at the link below. Feel free to read it over and
comment/reply back here:

As usual, the intent of the IRC meeting wasn't to come to any
conclusions, but to bounce some ideas around in rapid-fire fashion. I
think that was accomplished :-) While it might be nice to have our
own booth, as with the mailing list, no-one had strong objections to
sharing Canonical's booth this time around as a learning experience
and see how it works out. If it doesn't, we'll consider getting a
booth next time.
One thing we didn't manage to touch on at all was the possibility of a
Texas banner. If someone wants to take that up, I'm willing help with
funds, as are others.
With only two more weekends before TLF, it was floated to have an IRC
get together this Sunday, March 28th, as well as April 4th. Both at
9pm. If Sunday's at 9pm aren't a good time for people, please reply
and let's see if a better time can be found for the majority! Topic's
can extend beyond TLF, and maybe we don't need to even label these as
"meetings"... more like gathering times when a fair number of people
are likely to be online and we can dream about fun stuff to do.
