If you decide to get into something school related, I'm in.  I'm the  
Director of Technology for a K-12 district and have started working on  
bringing Ubuntu to the student population.  Most of my servers are  
Ubuntu, which the students don't necessarily see, but our VDI project  
will run Ubuntu on the underlying client OS, along with having an  
Ubuntu desktop option published to the students.
