Hey Tony, thanks for the reply. The contact itself is maybe 1mm (too small for 
me to measure, at any rate), but there isn't anything on the board around it, 
so there's room to be a little messy.

With the glue (I can't believe I'm even considering this), I was thinking more 
"press the connector down with a tiny screwdriver and put the smallest 
possible amount of glue on the edge of the connector." Which I know is a dumb 
way to even be looking at this, I've just been in the mode of "what do I have 
in the tool closet?"
