My son and his partner were able to use Ubuntu Server, on a dell machine I
gave them, to build an application, start a business and apply for a patent
related to their business at thinscape.com.
Being able to program and script allowed them to get a new idea up
and running quickly. They've gone on to provide custom kernels
embedded in handheld devices.
