Andrew,
I read your letter draft and think it's fantastic. You should definitely
bulk it up with more examples of current teams that use Linux and also offer
a few more examples of how Linux might benefit the teams using it (i.e.
learning command line interfaces, working with robotics at a "low level",
etc.).
I would try to get as much support from the other FIRST teams before sending
this in to the official committee so that they can co-sign it. In any case,
great idea! Let me know how I can help!
