[Ubuntu Chicago] Unbuntu Install problem in Illninois

Hello,

 I recently received an Unbuntu Installation disk which I requested off the
internet. I have have tried many time and manys ways to install it on my
computer.

Here are my computer specs

 

Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz

Onboard Video controller 512 M VRAM

ASRock MB 775iG50

512 M DDR Ram

120 GB Seagate HD

 

 

I still can get it to install, I go through the setup and install (full) on
a formatted HD and I get to a screen that lloks like a street or something,
there is a popbox in the center of the screen that says "install" at the top
of that box then the computer spins and the led for the HD goes on and off
for 1.5 hours. The popup box disappears then nothing. Can you help?
