I agree with all you say and following from your direction, I see that from
the map there are eleven LUG people in West Cornwall which need looking at
for help. Yes, I know that there is nothing to beat sitting together at the
machine but what I am looking for is a sort of informal but real insurance
for someone contemplating LInux that he is not just casting himself adrift
away from Windows homeland into a wilderness of no man's land. And an ever
open welcoming phone line is a good start.
