Thank you David for your help.

Didn't you realise that the US in the only place on planet!!

Been there, done that, just waiting for the T-shirt. That was my first
port of call as I am already aware of that US idiots-in-crass-y. I think
it must be a virus which affects almost all programs and printer
drivers. I even tried setting to A3 for one of the printers, which
prints that size, but I still get the same message. I have also
re-installed Firefox, but that made no difference either. This is the
only program which will not print, and I don't know where to kick.

Par for the course.
Yes, when printing from many packages, it is very difficult to make A4
the default. When using Ovation Pro, I get a warning if the output is
being sent to US Letter or A4 when the page size is A3.

I am sure that I have had printer output from other programs when the
page size was A4 and the printer setting was for US Letter, but Firefox
just simply will not print.

Many thanks for your help with this problem; if you, or anyone else can
think of something which I can do, it will be very much appreciated.
