I use emacs with po-mode, thats real nice.

Yes, that would be nice, I translate Fedora Core and Gnome, its real
easy to check out files from there with cvs and commit the changes back.
It would be nice if Ubuntu had an interface for translators, like which
packages needs translation and how much is allready translated.
