(Also bearing in mind that from Rosegarden's perspective, there's precious 
little we can do to address the underlying problem.  We depend on a bunch of 
stuff that has to work, and getting it that way is really a distro's job.  
Unfortunately, we can't really demand that users limit their choices, so 
there's always the Gentoo guy who's emerge dongle twithers were 
misjimbulated, and it was all our fault.)
