Problems running muse on Ubuntu Studio 7.04

You need to:

1.)have the lowlatency-kernel installed and running
2.)make sure your useraccount is in group audio
3.)set /dev/rtc to group audio:

 sudo chown -vv root:audio /dev/rtc

4.)give rtc a usable resolution:

 sudo bash
 echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq

all this should have been done automagically with installing either the
Ubuntustudio-DVD or its Metapackages. If automagic fails see above...
