Problems with the Berhinger BCF-2000 and Ardour

Hello,

I am trying to get a Berhinger BCF-2000 control surface working with
Ardour, so far with only partial success.

I followed the directions in the manual on the Ardour web site. After
following the directions, the BCF-2000 only partially works.

Moving a slider on screen in Ardour's mixer will cause the corresponding
slider to move on the BCF-2000. But, moving a slider on the BCF-2000
does not move a slider in Ardour's mixer (the slider on the BCF-2000
just keeps returning to its starting position).
