i'm not going to try to clip everyone's comments so i will just add my
comments on the last current comment.

thank you len for giving this oversight and making a list of required
icons. that has given this a much better chance of success because of these
efforts.

i want to point out a few things to help share the information. i'm sure
micah or emmet can correct me where i misspeak ;)

 * a .svg file can be smaller than a .bmp (this obviously reducing size
requirements)
 * i believe .png files can be created during package installation (using
the rules file?)
 * a single .png file can create multiple .png files during installation
(greatly reducing size requirements)

therefore, i believe we should strive to create a single .svg for each type
(or category, not size) of required icon.

micah and i have previously discussed converting .svg to .png for various
icons already. i have those bugs linked and will review them soon.
