Congrats. I think Ubuntu has been a fast growing distro and thus it makes very much sense people will join us quicker than LUGS. We do have a very important advertisement. That's the link from the ubuntu main site. I guess that's where most people pick up our site.I was suddenly having an idea about promoting Ubuntu. In NUS/NTU/SMU or wherever, there are always freshman fair where societies are looking for freebies. It is May and maybe we can actually request say some copies of Ubuntu CD to be placed in these freebie bags, esp to the computer societies/science societies etc? What do you think? It will be great to see the univ students start picking up the new OS. Well, that's where Linux got developed - university. In addition, with the talent from XP, we can have some download of UBUNTU SG thems/wallpaper etc. After all, the aim of Linux is about building the community. For those who want to know more about Linux, the 'revolution os' video can be quite an interesting show.http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7707585592627775409&q=revolution+os&hl=enEnjoyzHarris> From: billy at ubuntu.sg> To: ubuntu-sg at lists.ubuntu.com> Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2007 10:43:30 +0800> Subject: [Ubuntu-SG] Update on the mailing list.
